8 eggs
1 1/2 cups half and half
1/3 c maple syrup
1/3 c light brown sugar, packed
10-12 slices of soft bread, one inch thick
Topping:
1/2 c butter
1/2 c light brown sugar, packed
2/3 c maple syrup
2 c pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
*Grease 9x13" pan. Mix the eggs, half and half, maple syrup and sugar in large bowl. Place the bread in prepared dish and cover with egg mixture: cover with plastic wrap and let soak overnight in refrigerator.
*Topping: Melt butter in saucepan, add sugar syrup and cook for 1-2 minutes; stir in pecans. Pour mixture over bread and bake 45-55 minutes, allow to cool 10 minutes before serving.

I substituted half and half for 8 oz cream cheese and creamed it with a little milk. Also, I used a day old loaf of french bread and cubed into 1 inch pieces, instead of leaving in slices.
