1 c. lukewarm water
1 T. sugar
1 T. melted shortening
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/2 c. lukewarm milk
5 c. flour
1 T. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix warm water, sugar and yeast in small bowl, set aside and let mixture start to rise. Mix warm milk and melted shortening, set aside. Stir salt into flour, add yeast mixture and milk mixture, stir together. Knead 20 times. Let rise in large oiled bowl until doubled--punch down. Pour 2-3 T. of olive oil in 10 x 15 cookie sheet. Pat dough into oval about 1 inch thick. Let rise again. Bake at 450º oven 18-20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with garlic salt and baste with oil. Return to oven and bake about 5 more minutes.
