1 1/2 cups brown sugar (packed)
2 tbsp. flour
1 cup evaporated milk (not diluted)
1 egg (well beaten)
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 uncooked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º
Mix flour and sugar in a saucepan. Add evaporated milk. Cook on low stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Slowly add beaten egg, stirring constantly. Add nuts. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400F for 10 minutes then at 300F for 30 minutes or until mixture has thickened.
