1 1/2 white sugar
4 eggs
2 tablespoons thick cream or butter
1 cup honey – heated
2 teaspoons baking soda dissolved in a little warm water
2 tablespoons rum
4 1/2 cups of flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped fine

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º
Combine sugar, eggs, cream or butter with warm (not hot) honey. Add baking soda and rum. Add flour cinnamon and cloves and blend well. Stir in walnuts. Rest dough in refrigerator overnight. Roll out ¼ inch thick. Cut to desired shapes and bake until light brown.
