Melt in saucepan; 3 tbsp. butter or margarine
Blend in; 3 tbsp. flour
Add all at once; 3 cups milk, cook over low heat, stirring, until thickened and smooth.
Peel and slice thin; 8 medium potatoes and add to cream sauce with: 2 c.(4oz) dried beef shredded
1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 c. (4oz.) grated American cheese

Pour into buttered 2-qt casserole and top with 1/4 c. buttered crumbs. Bake uncovered in moderate oven, 350º, about 1 1/2 hrs. or until potatoes are tender.
