2 cups chopped onion 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
1 cup butter or marg 12 cups dried bread cubes
1 cup chopped celery 1 egg slightly beaten
1tbsp ground or rubbed sage
1 tsp Thyme Leaves 1 can (101/2oz. )chicken broth

Saute onion in butter over med heat 10 min. Add celery and seasonings, Cook5 min. Add to the bread cubes, tossing thoroughly. Mix egg in 3/4 cup of the broth. Add to stuffing, stir until thoroughly mixed. Shape into 24 balls abt 1 1/2 inches, and in greased pan. Pour remaining broth over balls. Bake uncovered in 375o oven 20 min.

If you want to make ahead, put the balls in the greased baking pan, cover and ref for use for the next day. I add a little extra broth, as I like the balls moist .
