2 tbsp. butter
½ cup white sugar
1 egg
¾ cup whole milk
1 cup flour
½ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp vanilla
¾ cup raisins
1 cup brown sugar
1½ cups boiling water
2 tbsp. butter
¼ tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Whisk the flour, powder, soda and salt together in a small bowl. Beat the white sugar, butter, and egg together in a bowl until smooth. Stir in the flour mixture alternately with the milk. Add the raisins, vanilla and mix. Pour into a large glass dish.

Dissolve the brown sugar in the glass cup/bowl of boiling water, then stir in the butter and nutmeg. Drizzle the syrup over the pudding. Bake until the pudding firms and becomes golden brown on top, about 35 - 40 minutes.
