3 c. flour
4 1/2 tsps. baking powder
2 tbps. sugar
1 1/2 tsps. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. milk(about)

Directions:
Mix dry ingredients, cut in shortening with pastry blender, to fine crumbs, add milk to make stiff dough. dump out on flour board and knead just a little. Half the dough press 1 half in greased pan and butter the dough then put the second half on top. Bake at 400º til done and browned good, 20 or 30 minutes.

This makes 2 layer it should come a part in the middle where you buttered it instead of cutting with a knife. Instead of divideing and layering the dough I pat it out and cut it in 4 or 5 inch across and bake. I like doing that better.
