1/2 c butter, melted
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c light brown sugar
1 c light corn syrup
4 eggs, beaten
1 t vanilla extract
1/4 t salt
1 unbaked pie shell
1 1/4 cup pecan halves, broken

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, sugars and corn syrup; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Let cool slightly (or your eggs will cook when added). Add eggs, vanilla, and salt to mixture. Mix well. Pour filling into unbaked pie shell, and top with pecans. Bake at 325 for 50-55 minutes. Serve warm or cold.

I won first place in the "Fourth Annual Fourth of July Apple Pie Celebration" in Orange Park in 2003. The newspaper wanted this recipe and I would not share. I have, however, decided to share with you now. Enjoy
