2# lean ground beef (turkey)
2 sm. onions
6 oz. tomato paste
8 c. water
2 t. salt
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. allspice
1 t. cinnamon
2 sm. onions
4 T. chili powder
1/2 t. black pepper
1 T. vinegar
1/4 t. cayenne pepper
5 bay leaves

Directions:
Directions:
1. Brown meat in pan, breaking up as it cooks.
2. Meanwhile, finely dice onions and set aside.
3. Drain and rinse browned meat with HOT water.
4. Wipe grease out of pan and return meat to pan.
5. Add all remaining ingredients and simmer for 2-3 hours, stirring every 1/4 to 1/2 hour.

For Slow Cooker/Crock Pot:
1. Reduce water to 4 cups and cook on high 4-5 hours.
2. Stir every hour or so and add more water as needed.

Cincinnati style chili is typically served over a hot dog with shredded cheddar cheese on top to make a "coney island". It is also served over spaghetti with shredded cheddar cheese on top to make a "3-way."
