1/2 lb. navy beans
1 c. tomato juice
3-4 c. water
ham bone or ham hock
garlic powder, to taste
1 carrot, diced
cabbage, shredded
onion, diced
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
pepper
celery or celery salt

Directions:
Directions:
Bring beans to a boil in soda water, drain and rinse. In large pan, put beans, tomato juice, water, ham bone or ham hock, and garlic powder to taste. Dice in 1 carrot, shred in some cabbage, dice an onion and add. Mix in Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and celery or celery salt.
