6 Large green peppers
5 c. boiling water
1 lb ground beef
1 t. salt
1/4 t/ garlic slat
1 c. cooked rice
1 15 oz can tomatoes sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Cut thin slice from stem end of each pepper. Remove all seeds and membranes. Wash inside and out. Cook peppers in the boiling salted water 5 minutes. drain.
Cook and stir ground beef and onions in skillet, until onions are tender. Drain off fat. Stir in salt, garlic salt, rice and 1 c. tomatoes sauce, heat through. Lightly stuff peppers with 1/2 cup meat mixture, Stand peppers upright in baking dish 8 X8 X2. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers. Cover, bake 45 minutes, Uncover 15 minutes longer.
