1 quart whole milk
1/2 c. light corn syrup
4 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
Pinch of baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix milk, corn syrup, and sugar in a 6 quart pan. Cook until it begins to boil then add salt and baking soda. Reduce the heat and cook to a softball (do not stir or it will burn). Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla, butter, and walnuts. Stir vigorously until it looses its gloss then pour into a heavily buttered 9 by 12 pan.
