2/3 c. shortening or softened margarine (I use 1/3 c. shortening & 1/3 c. parkay)
1/2 c peanut butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Cream parkay, peanut butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg, milk and vanilla. Blend in remaining ingredients until well mixed. Shape dough into 1 inch balls, roll in sugar. Place on baking sheet, but don't flatten. Bake 8 minutes; top each cookie with a solid Hershey Kiss, pressing down firmly until cookie cracks at edge. Return to oven and bake 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.
