2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. mashed bananas
1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs. Add bananas to creamed mixture, alternately with dry ingredients, combining well after each addition. Stir in walnuts.
Spoon into greased loaf pan and bake at 350ºF for 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until a tester inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Makes 1 loaf.
