1 c. oatmeal
2 c. boiling water
2 pkg. yeast
1/3 c. water
2-1/2 tsp. salt
2 T. softened butter
1/2 c. honey
6 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
325º, 45 - 50 minutes - Put oatmeal in bowl, add boiling water and put plate over bowl for 30 minutes. Add butter, honey and salt to oatmeal. In another container, put yeast over 1/3 c. warm water and proof - could take 30 minutes or so depending on weather. Stir all together. Add flour 2 cups at a time, stir and knead. Let rise, punch down and put in bread pans and rise again. Makes 2 loafs.
