Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Water chestnuts
Bacon, I prefer the precooked type but can use regular type
Catchup, I prefer Heinz
Brown Sugar, can use regular or Splenda brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Drain chestnuts, cut med to larger chestnuts in half, cut strips of bacon in thirds or half depending on size of chestnut and length of bacon strips, wrap bacon around chestnut & secure with toothpick, place in microwavable dish that has been spray with non stick spray, microwave until fat has cooked out of bacon, drain fat from pan, mix equal parts of catsup & brown sugar, microwave until sugar is dissolved, spoon sauce over the water chestnuts , microwave until thoroughly heated. you can prepare chestnuts and sauce ahead of time, even night before, then just before serving, spoon sauce over chestnuts and cook Everyone will ask for this recipe!!

If you do not use the precooked bacon, you will have to precook it yourself to remove excess fat. When mixing sauce, I start with ½ c each, if you will be serving these through out the holidays or for a large group, you can mix larger amount and store what you do not use in fridge for next use. It also works well to put sauce in squeeze bottle
