1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 celery ribs - chopped
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 large onion - chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
2 cans chick. broth
2 c. half & half
1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and saute' onion and celery. Add flour and cook 1 minute, stirring. Gradually add broth and cook over low heat 30 mins. Remove from heat and pour through a strainer to remove onion and celery. Return to pan and add rest of items, stirring while heating through. Do not boil. Serve.

This soup is served in the dining room at Mount Vernon and is also on the menu at most nice restaurants in northern Virginia.
