Oxy Clean Food Processor (to mix all ingredients to a fine powder)

Directions:Grate the soap. I use the medium grade side. You can use the smallest grade if you want, but it takes longer. Pour all dry ingredients into an airtight container and mix very well. If you wish to blend your detergent to a fine powder, then you will need to place all ingredients in a food processor and blend thoroughly. You can add 3 drops of essential oil (I like lavender) if you want to. This makes about 3.5 cups of detergent, and this recipe can be doubled or tripled as well.***Please note that you do NOT need to use as much of this detergent as you would a conventional detergent.
Directions for use: Small loads 1 T. of powder per load Normal loads 2 T. Heavy loads 3 T.
I like to let a little water run in the washer first, then add the powder and then the clothes. For particularly large dirty loads, stop the washer and let the clothes soak for a little while, and then continue the cycle. |

Notes: This soap powder does NOT gets very sudsy because there are no sulfates in it. Do not worry, your clothes are still getting clean! This recipe will save you tons of money and it is better for you, your home, the environment, your clothes AND your washing machine.
