1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. solid vegetable shortening
2 eggs
1 T. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
1 c. all bran cereal
1 c. corn flakes (crushed)
1 c. shredded coconut

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl with an electric mixer, beat granulated sugar, brown sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt into another bowl. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture; mix well. Add oats, bran cereal, corn flakes and coconut; mix well (fingers work best at this point).
Use 1" scoop and roll cookie dough between palms to form small balls. Place on well greased baking sheets or use parchment paper. Flatten balls with tines of a fork. Bake in preheated 350º oven 12-15 minutes, or until done. Cool on wire racks. These cookies freeze well in tightly covered containers.
