8 oz. box elbow macaroni
2 cups (1/2 lb.) grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cook macaroni, drain.
In 8x8 or 7x11 inch baking dish, alternate macaroni, in two layers, with 1 1/2 cups cheese, in two layers; set aside.
Prepare sauce: melt butter in medium pan; remove from heat. Blend in flour, gradually stir in milk, then seasonings. Bring to boiling, stirring; boil 1 minute.
Pour sauce over macaroni and cheese in casserole. Top with remaining cheese.
Bake 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and brown.
