1 c. shredded cabbage
1 medium carrot, shredded (1/2 c.)
2 tbsp. sliced green onion
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. celery seed
dash hot pepper sauce

For coleslaw: in a medium bowl combine the shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, and the green onion. For dressing: in a screw top jar combine the salad oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, dry mustard, celery seed, and the hot pepper sauce. Cover and shake to mix well. Pour the dressing over coleslaw. Toss lightly to coat the vegetables. Cover and chill coleslaw in the freezer for up to 15 minutes or in the refrigerator till serving time. Toss the coleslaw again before serving.
