Beat thoroughly:
1 cup soft shortening,
1 1/2 cups sugar,
2 eggs,

Mix together and stir into shortening mix:
1 2/3 cups flour,
2 tsp. cream of tarter,
1 tsp. soda,
1/2 tsp. salt,

Directions:
Directions:
Chill the dough. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in a mixture of 2 T. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon. Place about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350º F until lightly browned and still soft. Cool on the cookie sheet a few minutes and remove to a cookie rack.
