1 heaping cup flour
1/2 cup crisco
dash salt
3 T. milk

PIE FILLING:
6 cups fresh strawberries
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
3 T. corn starch

In mixing bowl sift flour and salt together. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until size of small peas. Add milk until particles stick together. Roll and form into pie pan crimping sides. Using a fork, prick crust ALL over. Bake in 350º oven for about 30 minutes - until crust in golden brown.

PIE FILLING:
In saucepan add 1 cup of the strawberries and water-boil. Turn down and simmer 2 minutes. Combine sugar and corn syrup - add to berry mixture and stir until thick and clear. Arrange remaining strawberries in cooled pie shell. Pour cooled glaze over all. Chill. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
