1/4 cup red onion (thinly sliced)
1 lb ground bison (or 90% lean ground beef)
2-4 oz cans diced green chiles
1/2 cup pepper jack cheese (shredded)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
4 whole wheat hamburger buns
iceberg or romaine lettuce

1. preheat grill to medium-high
2. mix bison, 1 can chiles, 1/4 cup cheese, salt and pepper and form into 4 patties
3. grill burgers for 4-5 min per side
4. top each burger with some more cheese and chiles and cook until the cheese is melty
5. assemble burgers
