3/4 c butter, softened
2/3 c sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/3 c strawberry, raspberry or peach jam

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a bowl blend butter, sugar,eggs and vanilla wit ha mixer on low speed. Adding in flour and baking powder; mix well
Place dough on a lightly floured board and divide it into 4 equal parts. Shape each part into a roll approximately 12 inches long and 3/4 inch thick.
Place rolls on an lightly greased cookie sheet about 4 inches apart and 2 inches from the edge of the pan. Using a wooden spoon handle, make a lengthwise depression in the center of each roll. Fill depressions with jam.
Bake 15- 20 minutes or until golden brown. While still warm, cut diagonally into 3/4 inch squares
