1/2 c butter
1/2 c solid white shortening
1 1/2 c confectioners sugar, sifted
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c flour, stir with fork to aerate before measure
1 1/2 c cornflakes
1 c pecans or walnuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, shortening, sugar & vanilla; add flour & mix well. Stir in cornflakes. Cover & chill. Shape into 2 equal rolls, about 1 1/2' in diameter. Coat with nuts; wrap tightly and chill over night.

Cut into 1/4" thick crosswise slices. Place several inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet; bake in preheated 350º oven, til lightly browned, about 15 min.
