3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. honey
1 tsp. salt
2 red apples (like Cortland), cored and cut into 8 wedges, then crosswise into 1/4 inch pieces.
2 Granny Smith apples, cored and cut like the red apples.
2 stalks of celery, cut in halves, lengthwise, then thinly sliced.
1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup dark seedless raisins

Do the dressing first. In a medium bowl whisk the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, honey and salt until nicely blended.
Add all the apples slices, celery, walnuts and raisins to the bowl with the dressing.
Toss until well mixed and all the fruit is coated.
Chill. Served chilled.

This is the classic Waldorf Salad recipe. I found in one of my Grandma Minnie's cookbooks.
My own addition is that you can plump raisins. Put in a bowl with water. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap. Microwave until the water boils. (About 1 minute) Let stand for five minutes until raisins are soft.
