2 lbs of good ground round
3tbsp chili seasoning
1tbsp chopped garlic
1 sweet onion chopped
2 cans of hunts tomato sauce
2-3 cans brooks chili beans
1 small can of v 8 vegetable juice
1 can of rotel chili and peppers. ( optional )
Olive oil to coat pans

Saute onion and garlic in heavy skillet. Add the ground round and brown to just slightly pink. Sprinkle half the chili seasoning on the mixture while cooking. If needed drain and rinse off any excess oil or grease. Cook in a large heavy saucepan or stockpot or even the crockpot. Coat pan with oil. Add beans, sauce, meat mixture and remaining seasoning. If you do not mind your chili hot add the rotel. Don't forget your vegetable juice. Heat until mixture is hot and flavors blended. Takes about 20 minutes on the stovetop and 4-6 hours in the crockpot. You can add more beans or sauce to desired texture.
