1 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 large onion (chopped)
1 green pepper (chopped)
2 (number 2) cans of whole tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
3 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
2 cans kidney beans (15 oz. can)
1 can tomato soup (10.75 oz. can)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the ground beef (or turkey) with the chopped onion and chopped green pepper.
Add 1 can tomatoes (with juice), cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, whole cloves, bay leaves and chili powder. Let cook 1/2 hour over medium heat.
Add the second can of whole tomatoes and 2 cans of kidney bean (kidney beans should be drained).
Allow to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir frequently.
Stir in 1 can of tomato soup and allow to simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
Taste and adjust cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.

Serve hot in bowls or serve over cooked spaghetti for Cincinnati style.

This is it - mom's famous chili. Okay a Texan won't agree because it has beans and is fairly mild. But it's been a hit with everyone who has tried it.
You can spice it up with a touch more cayenne pepper. But a little goes a long way - so be careful!
