2 cups Wild Rice (uncooked)
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped celery
8 oz. can mushrooms (drained)
2 cups chicken breasts (cut up)
6 cups chicken broth
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. chopped parsley

Directions:

Wash and drain the wild rice. (Several times if needed)
Combine all the ingredients in a slow cooker or crock pot.
Mix well.
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or until finished.

This is typical Minnesota supper dish. We call casseroles "hot dishes" in Minnesota and of course wild rice is a Minnesota staple!
