6 c. all purpose flour
6 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1 c. softened butter
2 1/2 c. granulated sugar
4 Tbs. anisette liqueur
6 whole eggs
2 c. chopped walnuts or hazelnuts

Preheat oven at 350
In a large bowl, combine sugar, softened butter and anisette liqueur. Beat in eggs.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to batter. Finally, stir in nuts.
On lightly floured surface, form batter into 6 long loaves, and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Pat each loaf to 3" width.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. Remove from oven and while still warm, slice biscotti diagonally into 1/4" slices. Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes longer or until crispy. Cool on wire rack. Store in airtight container.
