1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup peanut butter
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Beat eggs well and add to mixture. Add peanut butter and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt and baking soda. Add to mixture. Make small balls of mixture in palm of hands. Place on greased cookie sheet approximately 1 inch apart. After placing balls on cookie sheet, press with tongs of fork in criss-cross fashion. Yield: 10 dozen.
