3 or 4 kinds of greens: Romaine, Bibb, Boston, Iceberg are good
2 slices of fried bacon per person
finely chopped celery
finely chopped onion
chopped spring onions
grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 packages of Good Seasons Italian Dressing :(made up according to package directions...DO NOT use water as directed on package. Add Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, minced garlic (or whatever you like, just don't worry about it!)
Always use red wine vinegar in the dressing.
A good blue cheese dressing of your choice (I use Marie's)

Mix lettuces, celery, onions, bacon and cheese. Toss with homemade dressing. Top with a dollop of Blue Cheese Dressing on top.

Doyle and I first had this salad when we were engaged. Mrs. Ficquette is the mother of a good friend and she created this salad. It is absolutely the best salad and believe it or not, it's good the next day!
