4 sticks butter
12 oz dark chocolate chips
12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
4 cups flour
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp.baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups sugar
5 cups oatmeal
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Measure oatmeal then blend with a blender to a fine powder. Cream the butter and both sugars then add in eggs and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl mix flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Gently mix in both dark and semi sweet chocolate chips. Roll cookie dough into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Place rolled cookie dough in the refrigerator for a half an hour before baking. Put chilled cookie dough straight into the oven from the refrigerator. Bake for 11 minutes or until the edges are golden.

This recipe makes a ton of cookies but can easily be cut in half to make a smaller batch.
