2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
3 1/2 cups cake flour
1 cup milk
6 egg yolks
1 1/2 teaspoons double-acting baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. Grease and flour a 10" bundt pan or two 9" X 5" loaf pans.
In large bowl, with mixer at high speed, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Add flour and the rest of the ingredients. Beat at low speed until well mixed, constantly scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Beat at high speed 4 minutes, occasionally scraping bowl.
Pour batter into prepared pans and bake. Bake for 1 hour if using bundt pan or 45 to 50 minutes if using loaf pans, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
