2 medium potatoes, cubed, approximately 2 cups
1 C onion, chopped
3 T butter
3 T flour
ground black pepper
3 C milk
1 1/2 C ham, cubed
1 1/2 C sharp cheddar, grated

Directions:
Directions:
Cook potatoes until tender, drain, reserving 1 cup liquid. In saucepan melt butter add onion and cook until tender, add flour and pepper, stir to smooth paste. Add milk and potato water cook until thickened. Add cheese, continue to stir until cheese melts. Add potatoes and ham.
