2 - 4 c. pecans, raw and shelled
Half stick of butter, melted (or more to taste, if you're roasting the larger amount)
Salt to taste

Heat oven to 300 º. Stir pecans with butter until well coated, and spread out on a cookie sheet.
Bake 20 to 30 minutes, stirring 2 or 3 times along the way.
When slightly browned, drain and cool on paper towels, then add salt as desired.
