8-10 medium apples (Use a combination of sweet and tart apples for best results)
1 strip of lemon peel
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
3 inch cinnamon stick

Directions:
Directions:
Peel, core, and slice the apples. Place them in the slow cooker. Add the cinnamon stick, lemon peel and lemon juice. Set crock pot to low and cook for 6 hours. Stir apples occasionally. Remove cinnamon stick and lemon peel. Use an immersion blender to blend until smooth (or transfer to a blender and blend).

Makes about 3 cups.

My kids love this applesauce. Especially warmed up and served with cinnamon. Also, it makes your kitchen smell amazing.
