1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 small bottle cherries & juice
1 cup chopped nuts
6 1/2 cups sifted flour

Directions:

Melt butter and add sugars and mix thoroughly.
Add rest of ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Roll dough in 3 inch diameter logs in wax paper and freeze overnite (or place in freezer until ready to use). When ready to bake preheat oven to 350º. Unwrap dough and slice 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes depending on thickness of cookie.
