"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

2 tbl. butter
3 cups pecan halves
2 tbl. Jack Daniel's whiskey
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 dashes Tabasco

Directions:
Directions:
Place pecan halves in a mixing bowl and pour the melted butter over, stirring to coat each piece. Stir in Jack Daniel's whiskey, soy sauce, sea salt, garlic powder, cayenne, and Tabasco; mix well and place on half-sheet pan lined with parchment or silpat. Bake in preheated 350º oven for about 8 - 10 minutes or more, until you can smell their fragrance and the liquid has been absorbed. Remove from oven and allow to cool in pan.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
These make great appetizers, but they're also perfect for adding to salads. And since they freeze well, you can have a never-ending supply. Make some for munching in the car on your next roadtrip to Lynchburg, TN and a tour of the Jack Daniel's distillery.
