4 cloves garlic
olive oil to cover pan
1 stick of pepperoni
2 can tomato sauce, 1/2 can water each
1 can tomato paste, 1/2 can water
1 can garbanzo (chickpeas)beans
1 tsp basil
1 tsp oregano
1 package ditalini pasta
Grated romano cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Saute garlic in olive oil, reserve. Then saute pepperoni until lightly browned Return garlic to pan.
Add tomato paste, 1/2 can water, stir, then add tomato sauce, 1/2 can water, garbanzo beans and italian seasonings.
Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 to 1&1/2 hr.

Cook pasta as directed....add 1/2 cup pasta water to sauce mixture.

Then drain pasta and pour sauce over cooked pasta. Add romano grated cheese and serve

One of our family's all time favorite recipes from my Nanny Sofia. When we have a crowd we double or triple the recipe....Add crusty Italian bread and a bottle of red wine...it doesn't get any better. Mangia
