1 lb. ground beef
1/2 C. raw rice
1/4 C. finely chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. vegatable oil (canola)
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce (may need 3)
1 C. water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix beef, rice, onion and seasonings. Form into balls (small holds up better than large). Fry in hot oil turning frequently until light brown but not crusty on all sides. Add tomato sauce and water, mix well. Cover and simmer about 45 minutes. Makes 4 servings.

Recipe comes by way of Erica's Mom who got it from her Grandmother, Gladys Blair Dunkelberg back in the 60's. Loved it then and love it now!
