Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Crust
1 cup sugar
3 cups flour
2 cups butter
1 egg
Filling
1 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
4-5 large baking apples
1/2 heavy cream
juice of 1 lemon
2 eggs
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup of sugar or less, depending how sweet you like it.
few drops of vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients quickly to a pastry consistency. Do NOT overwork the dough. Let it refrigerate for a while. Grease and flour a 9 inch spring form pan. Press into bottom of the pan and about 1/2 way up the sides. This makes enough dough for 2 cakes (I have not had enough for two full cakes)

Filling
peel apples, core and cut in half. Score apple halves (that is cut lines on them both ways, but not all the way through). Place the apple haves on the dough, rounded side up. Fill in the spaces between the apple haves with apple pieces. Mix the rest of the ingredients together and pour over the apples. Bake in a oven that has been preheated to 375 for one hour to 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours or until the apples are tender and the filling set.
