Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 c. peeled, sliced peaches (preferably from McBee, SC, because they have the best peaches) (Also, I would add 5 c. peaches if possible, because this recipe comes out a little dough-y)
2 c. sugar, divided
1/2 c. water
8 tblsp. butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
Ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine peaches, 1 c. sugar, and water in a saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 min. Remove from heat.
Put butter in a 3-qt. baking dish and place in oven to melt. Mix remaining 1 c. sugar, flour, and milk slowly to prevent clumbing. Pour mixture over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup. Sprinkle top w/ cinnamon. Batter will rise to top during bake. Bake for 30-45 min.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream
