2-3 lb. chuck roast
3 or 4 medium potatoes
4 or 5 large carrots
1 large onion
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in dutch oven. Cut vegetables into large chunks. Add soups and about 1/2 soup can of water. Bake in 300º for 3 hours. Or place in crock pot for 8 hours on low.

Remove vegetables and bring gravy to boil. Thicken gravy with a little flour mixed into cold water.

I grew up having this every Sunday for dinner after church, and did the same with my family until we started eating out many Sundays (after the kids were old enough not to leave a blanket of cracker crumbs under the restaurant table).
