1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla thoroughly. In separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder; add to the shortening mixture and mix well. Stir in oatmeal, Rice Krispies and coconut. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350º for 8 minutes. Cool on rack.

This is the cookie that Mrs. Noel used to make, that I went in to her house on my own to find at least once. I looked for the recipe for years until Mackenzie brought home some Ranger cookies from Karen's house.
