1 cup lentils
1 cup rice (uncle Ben's) or you can use Bulgar (# 3 )
5 cup water
1/2 cup olive oil
1 large onion sliced thin and fried
1 tsp salt or to taste

© in a medium pot rinse the lentils and drained
add 5 cup water to the lentils and bring to boil, on medium heat cover to Cooke for 15 min. Add the washed rice, salt and stir, cover and lower the heat to simmer. Cook until absorbed all the water and fully cooked. Add a little more water If needed. remove from heat and site a side.
in a frying pan add the 1/2 cup of oil fry the onion until golden brown, pull the fried onion and sit a side. Use the left over frying oil and add on top the rice or the bulgar mix it then shut the stove and let it rest for 10 min.
use a serving plat and scoop in to the plat and then Garnish it with the fried onion and Serve with salad.
