4 qt sliced thinly yellow, young tender squash, not peeled
6 med onions
2 green peppers, chopped
3 garlic cloves, whole
1/2 c coarse salt
5 c sugar
3 c vinegar
1 1/3 tsp turmeric
1 1/2 tsp celery seed
2 T mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Add squash, onions, peppers, whole garlic, salt and cover with cracked ice. Mix welll. Let stand for 3 hours. DRAIN WELL. Combine remaining ingredients & pour over squash mixture. Heat just until it is boiling. Seal in hot, steralized jars. Makes 8 pints.
