1 can chickpeas
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. tahini
1/8 to ¼ cup lemon juice
Pinch of paprika (optional)
1 tbsp. chopped parsley (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Using a blender, blend together the chickpeas, garlic, and salt. Add the tahini paste and lemon juice. Blend well.

Spoon hummus in a decorative plate. Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika. You may also add a tbsp of chopped parsley just to give the plate some color.

*Some people like to add olive oil to dish as well.

*Note- Hummus is very tasty when you use raw chick peas. Just soak the chick peas overnight and cook them in boiling water for a couple of hours, or until the chick peas are soft and tender. Follow the recipe above once the chick peas are cooked.

Hummus Bi Tahini is a very popular Lebanese dish. A vegetarian combination of chickpeas, garlic, lemon, tahini and salt, it is often eaten with khibiz, or pita bread. It is a main supplement in the Lebanese Mazza, usually sharing the table with Kibbee and Tabouli.
